Mozart moved the world – and continues to do so today. What great fortune for Baden to have hosted the “darling of the gods” on several occasions and to be musically immortalised through the works Ave Verum and Un moto di gioia mi sento, both composed here.

In the year marking the 270th anniversary of his birth, we retrace Mozart’s everyday life in the spa town — from the local “cure” establishments and gastronomy to his social connections in Baden and his eventful marriage to Constanze. This journey follows the traces of longing and jealousy, concerns for his wife’s health, moments of extraordinary creative genius, persistent financial difficulties, and convivial hours spent in the Gebirgskeller and at the casino.

The experience concludes with a highlight at the “King of Instruments” — the magnificent Baroque organ in St. Stephan’s Church, itself a contemporary witness to Mozart’s time.
