Guided vineyard hike

On the trail of the phylloxera you will learn everything about the cultivation of wine ...

Guided by a knowledgeable wine expert, you will learn about the local grape varieties and the history of viticulture during a leisurely hike. The hike starts at the Tourist Information and leads you through the lower part of the spa park, up the Badener Berg, to the vineyards above the city. The magnificent panoramic view over the Vienna Basin and of the spa town of Baden - nestled between the Harterberg, Römerberg, Mitterberg and Badener Berg wine regions - as well as the view of the Weinbergstrasse in the direction of Gumpoldskirchen and the gentle wine hills in front, compensates for the arduous climb. Back through the villa quarter and the spa gardens, a glass of "Badener Lumpentürl" is offered free of charge for tasting in the Badener Hauervinothek. 

Dates 2022: May to October 

May to August: every 1st & 3rd Thursday from 15.00 - 16.30  
September to October: every Thursday from 15.00 - 16.30

• Children between 10 - 18 years: € 5,-- per person
• Children between 0-10 years: FREE 

Minimum participants: 3 persons (max. 20)

The hike only takes place in good weather!
Please bring sturdy shoes and rain protection!
