Description
The Thermenradweg
For cyclists with a fine sense of enjoyment, the Thermenregion is a tempting area, as the Thermenradweg opens up the legendary wine country in the most comfortable way imaginable. The route leads from the outskirts of Vienna (Vorarlberger Allee) via Vösendorf, along a well-surfaced route towards Laxenburg, through the sun-drenched thermal region. The Thermenradweg now runs along a long stretch alongside the Wiener Neustadt Canal past Pfaffstätten to Wiener Neustadt and on to Kleinwolkersdorf. Always in view: The gentle hills on the south-eastern edge of the Vienna Woods, where the wine thrives so well.
The Thermenregion is an excellent area for wine taverns. The route is scenic and yet pleasantly flat. The varied cycling enjoyment can be individually tailored thanks to an exemplary rail connection.
