General Assembly of the Small Historic Cities in Baden bei Wien

Small historic towns are growing

Two new cities added!

Historic flair, wonderful leisurely pace, excellent cuisine - hardly any other group can celebrate typical Austrian hospitality better than the Small Historic Towns. The members of the Small Historic Towns met this year for the General Assembly in Baden bei Wien. For two days, the group's touristic focus and the challenges in the individual cities were discussed  intensively and the planned activities for 2020 were selected. Future marketing activities will focus on online and social media marketing, including the conception of a completely new website and the increasingly important video content productions.

Furthermore, the membership applications of two new cities were also voted on and unanimously approved. From 2020, the historic cities of Hartberg (Styria) and Wolfsberg (Carinthia) are new members of the Marketing Association. "Membership will soon be visible on the new website www.khs.info, which is expected to go online next May," explains Managing Director Eva Pötzl.

The tourism experts also used their stay in Baden to visit the LaGacilly-Baden Photo festival, which is highly successful in terms of tourism. This year's theme of the festival is "Hymn to the Earth" and shows the photographic art of the world's best photographers in public space. "The often surprising perspectives of the photo narratives transform the gardens and squares into a total work of art and bring about a complete image change for the city of Baden", reports the President of the Small Historic Towns Klaus Lorenz.
